The sales result of LAWSON Business (LAWSON and NATURAL LAWSON) in August is as follows*1.
Existing-store sales (excluding ticket and gift card sales, etc.) increased 6.6% year on year over the same period and the average number of customers per store increased 6.2% and the average customer spend increased 0.4% year on year.
The Lawson Group operated 14,619 convenience stores in Japan at the end of August 2023, including 131 NATURAL LAWSON stores and 649 LAWSON STORE 100 stores.

<Sales situation>
・In rice products category, sales of rice balls were strong, thanks to coupon measures.
・In delicatessen category, especially sales of pasta salads were strong.
・In over-the-counter fast food products, sales of new "KARAAGE-KUN Fried Chicken, Fortune Butter" products and “MACHI café” were strong.
・In “Machikado Chubo”, an in-store cooking service, sales were driven by the standard rice bowl type bento and the renewed curry and rice.
・Sales of MUJI products, such as baked goods and cosmetics, etc., were strong.
