Lawson believes that coexistence with a variety of stakeholders is essential for creating a sustainable society for the future and achieving happiness in the community. Therefore, we participate in a variety of initiatives to promote sustainable business activities in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Japan Business Federation (Keidanren)

Japan Franchise Association (JFA)

Lawson participate in the convenience store industry's Carbon Neutral Action Plan (FY2030) and promote measures to achieve and reduce the targets outlined in the plan.

UN Global Compact

Lawson signed the United Nations Global Compact in May 2022. By supporting and practicing the ten principles in the four areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, we will contribute to the development of a sustainable society.

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

In April 2020, Lawson endorsed the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures). In order to respond to the intensifying issue of climate change, we will analyze climate-related risks and opportunities, understand the impact on our business strategies, consider countermeasures, and proactively disclose information.

Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures（TNFD）

In December 2023, Lawson endorsed the principles of Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), and in January 2024 registered as a “TNFD Early Adopter,”* which means early adoption of TNFD’s disclosure recommendations. In April 2025, we disclosed information for FY 2024 (fiscal year ending February 2025) in compliance with TNFD. Going forward, as a Group, we will organize our initiatives on natural capital based on TNFD recommendations, and promote initiatives such as the sustainable use of resources with consideration for biodiversity, as well as further enhance information disclosure.

* Refers to a company that has endorsed the TNFD Recommendations announced in September 2023 and has registered and declared to publish an initial report aligned with the Recommendations for its outcomes in FY 2024 or FY 2025.

Eat & Fun Health Association

The Eat & Fun Health Association aims to make the concept of having fun eating delicious food a reality based on scientific evidence. In particular, we recommend suppressing blood sugar rises by ensuring the proper intake of sugar, which is contained in carbohydrates and raises blood sugar levels. Lawson supports the efforts of the association and is focusing on the development of products that contain the right amount of sugar.
