The sales result of LAWSON Business (LAWSON and NATURAL LAWSON) in August is as follows*1.
Existing-store sales (excluding ticket and gift card sales etc.) increased 5.0% year on year over the same period and the average number of customers per store increased 2.7% and the average customer spend rose 2.3% year on year.
The Lawson Group operated 14,655 convenience stores in Japan at the end of August 2022, including 133 NATURAL LAWSON stores and 668 LAWSON STORE 100 stores.

<Sales situation>
・In over-the-counter fast food products, sales of "KARAAGE-KUN Fried Chicken" were strong due to the release of new flavors such as "KARAAGE-KUN Fried Chicken, HORINISHI Spice" supervised by Outdoor Spice Horinishi.
・In rice products category, sales of rice balls in general were strong due to the success of a campaign offering free beverage coupons and other measures, and sales of the "Kore ga Bento" series continued to be strong.
・Sales of "Machikado Chubo", an in-store cooking service, continued to be strong, driven by sales of local delicacies sold only in certain regions.
・Sales of bakery (sandwiches etc.) were strong, including standard sandwiches with more ingredients for a limited time and sandwiches with custard under the supervision of a specialty store.
・In toys, sales of entertainment lottery tickets and trading card games were strong.
