The sales result of LAWSON Business (LAWSON and NATURAL LAWSON) in May is as follows*1.
Existing-store sales (excluding ticket and gift card sales etc.) increased 3.0% year on year over the same period and the average number of customers per store increased 1.8% and the average customer spend rose 1.2% year on year.

The Lawson Group operated 14,660 convenience stores in Japan at the end of May 2022, including 134 NATURAL LAWSON stores and 668 LAWSON STORE 100 stores.

<Sales situation>
・In rice products category, sales of rice balls were strong. In addition to strengthening the product lineup, measures such as app coupons and trial vouchers were successful.
・Sales of "Machikado Chubo", an in-store cooking service, continued to be strong, driven by "Mixed-seafood Tempura Rice Bowl", which was renewed this month.
・In bakery (sandwiches etc.) category, sales of "Pastrami Beef, Roast Beef & Potato Salad", which was featured in a TV program, and high unit price burgers, which were promoted on Meat Day (the 29th of every month), performed well.
・In cooked noodles, sales of the reasonable size "Choi-men" series and the cold noodle category, such as cold soba noodles, were strong.
・In over-the-counter fast food products, sales of "KARAAGE-KUN Fried Chicken" were driven by the "one extra portion" sale and trial voucher program.

“Dragon Ball Super” Campaign smartphone lottery (-5/9)
Okinawa Fair (5/10-5/30), etc.

Cigarette sales were a factor that pushed up existing-store sales in May by about 1.5 point year-on-year.
