The sales result of LAWSON Business (LAWSON and NATURAL LAWSON) in February is as follows*1.
Existing-store sales (excluding ticket and gift card sales etc.) decreased 2.3% year on year over the same period and the average number of customers per store decreased 5.8% and the average customer spend rose 3.8% year on year.

The Lawson Group operated 14,656 convenience stores in Japan at the end of February 2022, including 136 NATURAL LAWSON stores and 669 LAWSON STORE 100 stores.
We have been refurbishing existing stores as part of the measure of Lawson Group Sweeping Transformation Executive Committee, and the sales of the refurbished stores have increased. We refurbished 1,276 stores in February, and the total of refurbished stores were 4,305 at the end of February.

<Sales situation>
・In frozen foods, sales of hot foods such as udon noodles increased due to low temperatures, and frozen desserts also contributed to sales.
・In the "Machikado Chubo", an in-store cooking service, sales were driven by Pork Bowl, which meets the needs of the local community.
・In rice products category, sales of standard chilled boxed lunches continued to drive sales.
・In over-the-counter fast food products, sales of croquette and minced meat cutlet, which are in high demand as prepared foods, were strong.
・In dessert category, sales of products collaborated with a famous chocolate maker were strong.
・As a sales promotion measure, a campaign was conducted in the confectionery category to give away original goods of "Jujutsu Kaisen" (February 1 to February 14) and "Demon Slayer" (February 22 to March 7) .
Cigarette sales were a factor that pushed up existing-store sales in February by about 1.0 point year-on-year.
